Former Indomitable Lions of Cameroon skipper and football legend Rigobert song Bahanag has been appointed as lead trainer of the country’s elite football team, the Indomitable Lions.

According to the Cameroon state media this Monday, February 28, the 45 years old record-man for the lions has been named its head coach. By Cameroon football federation boss and former team mate Samuel Eto’o Fils.

He will be assisted by Simo Augustine and former Uganda coach Sebastien Migne. Team manager will be Raymond Kalla. Souleymanou Hamidou will be goalkeeper caoach Fever Raphael will be physics manager while Baltaze David will be working as Video Analysit.

He replaced on the spot Conceiçao after failing to win the recent AFCON. Despite their status as host country, Cameroon failed in the semi-finals.

Due to that poor performance they get in the recent AFCON Samuel Eto’o the Cameroon football federation boss decided to sack him.

Rigobert Song is one of the greatest players in the history of Cameroon. He participated in the conquest of two victorious AFCON at the beginning of this century (2000 and 2002).

Song first test in the Indomitable Lions of Cameron will be on March 24^th at home against Algeria.
