In the terms of the formation of a continental bridge it is the mission of StArfrica - Startup Germany-Africa to increase the attractiveness of Germany - especially as a country of business start-ups from the scientific community - for African start-ups and to sensitize and facilitate the market entry of German start-ups in Africa, but if necessary also for the market entry of small and medium-sized companies in Africa.

The Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) is committed to the "StArfrica - Startup Germany-Africa" project for a start-up-related continental bridge between Germany and Africa. The primary goal of the project is to expand the start-up support from science for mutual benefit as a pilot project between the University of Rwanda in Kigali and the ZIFET of the University of Koblenz. After the successful pilot project in Rwanda, the project is now being expanded to Ghana and Tanzania and is opening up to other African universities.
