RWANDA: 49 young entrepreneurs joined competitions toward #YouthConnektAwards2019

Since yesterday, A panel of Judges was composed by Niwemukobwa Gloriose, youth entrepreneurship promotion officer in Ministry of Youth ; Nzabonimpa Théodore, CEO and Founder of Beyond the Gorillas and Youth Connekt Awardee and Mutanguha Pelin, ICT Lecturer in University of Rwanda.

entrepreneurs, pitched their projects in front of a panel of judges that selected 35 projects to participate in national level competitions.

Participants were divided in 4 categories: Agribusiness, manufacturing, services, handcraft and ICT.

Among 35 winners in Eastern Province, 4 outstanding young entrepreneurs will be awarded with cash

prizes ranging from 1M to 1,5M Frw,in addition to a ticket to national level competitions.

Four outstanding young entrepreneurs in Eastern Province are CCE Business Group that deals with pepper farming and production, Umuhesha Group Ltd that has a website designed to link maids with employers both from Bugesera District, Matata Christophe from Kirehe District, who has a company that helps cross border vehicles' drivers to ensure their security, and Karwanira Ferdinand from Kayonza District who manufactures nursery schools’ materials from woods.

The first day Youth Connekt Awards 2019competitions ends. Competitors were from agribusiness and ICT categories. The competitions will resume with businesses that fall in the categories of services delivery and manufacturing. Youth Connekt Africa 2019, is expected to attract 10,000 delegates from Africa/Globe.
